Check out Avril Lavigne on the set of her video for “Hot”! “Hot” is like my totes fave song on her disc, I’m excited it’s her new single. Every time it comes on my iPod when I’m at the gym, it makes me wanna jump up on the bench press and sing along with Avz at the top of my lungs! It does seem like Avz is channeling her inner Paris Hilton by her look in the vid! I know everyone totes makes fun of Avz… But I love her!

Okay… I know that’s a bold statement, but it’s totes true! I started out my week in Provo, Utah! Now, ordinarily, you would not think that this is the place to start your favorite week of all time. To my surprise, this is the PERFECT place to start! I got to see my friends that recently moved there (some old and some new)! It was so much fun! We ate at Del Taco, went hot tubbin’ and watched a bunch of friends play in this music festival called “Sego”! It was so great! I even got to see mountains… Now, to some of you, thats not a big deal but to me, IT SO IS! (You might recognize Chaunte?!)
Once I got back and started the work week, I received a little message from a fredflare bestie. Her name is Maggie and she is INCREDIBLE! She’s like the coolest person I know and she always orders the cutest things for her friends! Anyhoo, she told me to get a fork ready…What the hull? So I waited, fork in hand, for a few days. Then yesterday it happened! The most wonderful thing! A scrumptious chocolate dream cake!!!! We were all freaking out and going crazy about all the fudgetastic goodness. I had no idea something this good existed! I really want to thank Maggie for making our week HA-MAZING! You are truly the most perfect person i know! Besties forevz! (keep your eyes peeled for a lil sumpin)
And last but certainly not least…I ended this week on a high note! I made a huge purchase of everything that was on my wishlist (for the week that is). This list…

I *finally* sent out copies of the GOOD LIFE mix I made for everybody who made me b-day mixes. The snap above is what the cover looks like.
I have sorta a funny story to tell ya… When I was flying back to NYC on Sunday, I got to talking with this woman named Judy. We shared a table at the airport bar and chatted over a couple of beers. I mentioned that I had just visited my Grandma on her birthday so the topic of age came up.
Judy looked at me and smiled slyly, “How old do you think I am?” Trick question, yes, but she kept insisting. “C’mon, Keith, I’m never going to see you again. I really, really want you to be honest.” So I erred on the side of caution and said, “Late 30’s?” That’s pretty much what I thought, anyway. She got this giant smile on her face. “I’m going to be 50 next month!” she said. I was definitely impressed. “That’s awesome! You look terrific.” Then I paused. I had to ask, right? “How old do you think I am?”
Judy looked carefully at me and said, “I’d guess you are 27.” OMG, buy this woman a drink!! “Thanks,” I said. “I actually just turned 35. I had the best birthday ever.” I told her how I asked my friends to make me mixes for my b-day and I got all this amazing music and that I had just finished a mix to give back in return. Her eyes got wide. “Ooooh, will you send me one? I could do my exercises to it.” I said I would.
So, anyway, thanks again for all your AWESOME jams. They really made my birthday so special. And, Judy, I hope you like the mix!

I believe in Crystal Lite and I believe in Britney! I know, I know… She’s had like the craziest year of her life and I think we’re all pretty much over her wacked out antics and stuff but I still just want to see her do well! Okay, check out the newest ad for her fragrance “Believe.” I totes believe in Britterz… Even if they have to Photoshop the hella out of her, I’m a fan for life! I am so excited for Madonnz… It was recently announced that she’s one of the 9 nominees this year to be inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. To be eligible, artists must have released their first singles no later than 1982 which is the year when Madonnz first hit the scene with her club smash “Everybody”. The other nomz are The Beastie Boys, John Mellencamp, Leonard Cohen, Afrika Bambaataa, Chic, the Ventures, Donna Summer and the Dave Clark Five. Only 5 will be chosen in March of 08. I would defs pick Madonnz for sure… But the other 4, that’s a hard one! The Beasties for sure and John Mellencamp and totes Donna Summer and Chic! Who do you think should be picked? Lemme know!

**UGLY SPOILERZ** OMG, the season premiere of Ugly Betty was soooo good. I think it was the best premiere so far, way better than Heroes! Betty is like the cutest character on TV and America Ferrara does such an incred job! She totes deserves her Golden Globe and Emmy!!! Okay we have a lot to discuss! So, Rebexis and Daniel survived the car crash but Rebexis is in a coma and Daniel is still hooked on the dolls, dolls, dolls! Can you even believe when Rebexis came out of the coma that she has amnesia… Like she totes isn’t gonna remember that she’s post-op! Betty’s Dad is still trapped in Mexico and Justin ditched camp to do some fashion consulting at Mode… And poor Betty’s running around trying to keep it all together and not think about her love Harrison in Arizona with that preggerz betch Charlie. It’s pretty clear that Charlie’s baby is soooo the Dentist’s! It was so cute that Betty and Daniel went to Central Park to bury all of Betty’s memorabilia of Harry’s… I can’t believe she parted with the Medieval Times crown! Tears swelling up.
I love too that Mandy’s all chubette after finding out that Faye Sommers is her mother and her “swinging” satin mini robe wearing parents adopted her. Doncha just love that Mark figured out that Dadford is Mandy’s real father too? You know he is… And Mandy just kept popping the M&M’s! JEANZ! Momma Meade is still on the run from breaking out of prison and is hiding out with her bestie in the Hamptons. I loved her crack pot scheme to dress up like a nun or a cat to stop Wilameenz’ wedding with Dadford! Ooh, that Wilameenz is a smartie pants tho… She was on to Momma Meade’s plan all along. And how totally awesome was it to see Hilda and Santos locked up in the bedroom planning their wedding. But to find out it was all a fantasy and that Santos was really dead… OMG, how could they have done that to us, to Hilda. It was the most heartbreaking moment in TV history so see Hilda sitting the bed in the dark crying… It makes me wanna cry just thinking about it again. Defs tears in my beers. But they did throw us a bone at the very end when Harrison got off the bus in Times Square, phew! Best, funniest, sweetest, craziest, most bestest TV show evah! I love Betty!

Hey, just wanted to check in and say I’ve been enjoying our first FF book club read The Perks of Being a Wallflower very much. How about you? Seems like a good fall pick for some reason, yeah? Someone commented not too long ago and said she took a down comforter into the back of her car and read it all day in the park. That sounds wonderful. Wild brunch?!? You’re not kidding! I just love that this episode was based around brunch… With a side of scotch! Okay, Serena is seriously getting kicked to the curb. Girl’s busted out all over the place. Pretty much everyone knows that Serena and Nate did it… Chuck, Blair and now even super cutie Dan! Sereenz really gonna have to work her azz off to get in everyone’s good graces! Okay, was that whole “key” a totes set up? I mean it was a bit obvious and wouldn’t Nate have known in the hallway that Sereenz was in that room? Hmmm, just wondering out loud! And poor Jenny, she’s so getting caught in Blair Witch’s web! But I was seriously scandalized when they showed Chuck in bed with 2 waitresses from the Kiss on the Lips party and then he hooked up with one of those statue models from brunch… Whata loser! But seriously, how beautiful is Blair Witch and Dan? I could just stare at those 2 all days. But I think the most outrageous thing was when Gossip Girl said “fuster cluck”! Can they say that on TV? This show is so racey… And I’m hooked!

This has got to be like the best thing I’ve seen all day! The editors of Popstar! magazine have put together a special issue called Zanessa, dedicated to our fave “clean teen” duo, Zac Efron and Vanessa Hudgens! The issue is jam-packed with over 100 pics and Jen, I know you’ll love this… 21 posters including 6 MEGAS! But I think the best part of is Zanessa’s “10 most romantic moments.” This is just too rich… They’re really trying everything they can to get those nudie cutie pics “behind” them!

I’m just loving her brunette locks so much and her Karta dress is to die for! I love Donatella too, she’s looking a bit tore up from the floor up in the face, but that tends to happen to plastic surgery addicts… She’s still fierce tho! So, with all the Spring fashion shows kinda winding down, we still have Paris coming up, here’s some key trends that I’ve spotted to help guide the 2008 version of you. Okay, here goes… RETRO: lots of looks inspired by the 40’s through the 70’s. I’m partial to the 1950’s, DoWop that thing! DRESSES: they’re here to stay and I love ‘em… The shorter the better. WIDE LEG PANTS: I know you might still love your drain pipes but the wider leg and higher waist is gaining momentum. SAFARI: add some ROARsomeness to your wardrobe with lots of jungle heat! Me-WOW!

On Sunday I flew to Chicago for the day to see my Grandma Carollo on her 94th birthday. Had such a nice time! Was introduced to all these relatives I’d never met before and they kept referring to my dad, Jack, as “Jackie” and so I plan to do the same, ha ha! Had to take my slice of bday cake to-go cuz I had a plane to catch but I did get to see Grandma blow out the candles. I think a lit birthday cake is one of the most beautiful things in the world.
