Hi guys, how was everybody’s weekend? Did you do anything exciting? I spent my weekend reading about the history of New York, and looking up facts about outer space on the internet. I’m a little bit of a nerd, so what? Barbie hearts nerds. I have no shame about my obsession with black holes and nebulas. I also happen to love analog inspired items like the LED motherboard menorah, and the motherboard xmas tree. They are simple, cool, and they blink! It occurred to me the other day, after reading all of your boombox responses to Katy Perry’s “Ur so gay”, that we all LOVE Katy Perry! She’s adorable, of course we love her, riiiight?! Well, I also started realizing that KP loves us back! It’s so obvious. She’s wearing our Risky Biz sunglasses in like every pic, she rocks the banana phone and she’s totally wearing the Red Apple necklace from earlier this summer! I’ve also seen her in the self adhesive mustaches! Wow, take a few days off from blogging and like all hail breaks loose. Phew, so much to catch up on. There’s Paul’s terrible passing, ScarjoRyanold’s nups, Heather’s DUI and then Britney’s Womanizer leak! Yeah, totes busy celebutante weekend. As you probably know, actor, humanitarian, race car driver and top chef Paul Newman passed away this weekend at 83 after a long battle with cancer. Oh Paul! I bet my Mom is really sad… She loves Paul Newman. I think her fave movie is The Sting. Most of you prolly know Paul and his wife Joanne Woodward for their signature line of salad dressings, but Paul is an Oscar winning actor and American icon first and foremost. Many cite Paul (with Marlon Brando ) as creating the modern form of acting that we see today by stripping away the hyper drama of stage and creating a more realistic approach. Our hearts and prayers go out to Paul’s family and friends for their tragic loss. Paul, you’ll be greatly missed. Rest in Peace, Butch! Do y’all have a fave Paul Newman film or story? Sad news for all us hopefuls… Scarlett Johansson and uber hawtie Ryan Reynolds got married over the weekend in Canada, aye! ScarJo and the hunk have been dating for about a year and were engaged to be married back in May. Oooh, I hope Alanis is okay… Meeting the man of my dreams and then meeting his beautiful wife. Congrats to the happy couple.

Oh no, not this again. Heather Locklear is the latest celeb to get bust for a little drinky-drinky drivey-drivey. Heather was pulled over Saturday by CHIPs after she left a Santa Barbara parking lot and then proceeded to drive erratically. She may have been wasted on prescription drugs.
Srsly Heathz, this is so 2007! I know Heather’s had a tough couple of years… The break-up with Richie who cheated with Heathz bestie, Denise Richards, then rehab for depression and anxiety. C’mon now Heather, pull it together… Amanda Woodward would never allow herself to become such a mess!

Okay, check out Gossip Girl’s Ed Westwick macking w/ none other than Drew Barrymore (sarz Cver!). Totally hawt sesh, riiight? The 2 were “captured” (doncha LOVE cellphone cameras) last week at the Kings of Leon show at Webster Hall in NYC. New “it” couple or just a quick fling? Inquiring minds wanna know.

Happy Friday!! Okay, so we are such super nerds when it comes to the new store that every new thing related to it has this OMG-THIS-IS-SO-EXCITING feel. I mean, we’ll never open our first store again so we’re really trying to just take it all in… It’s about crunch time. I think we’re gonna try and move in a bunch of stuff in a week? Yikes. We’ll see how it all goes.

Apparently it’s going to rain solidly until around Wednesday. Now I’m not known to be much of a planner, but news like that usually gets me making lists pretty quick. I was supposed to sell my silkscreened t-shirts on Saturday at a community center old-people-type-sale in my hometown just outside the city, but they already canceled it due to the forecast. Check out some of the designs me and my friends were gonna sell:
So here are some other ideas I came up with to kill my time throughout the unfortunate rainy stretch.
1. Get another tattoo; chest piece in an arc dipping just below the collarbone, a quote from George Washington. “Labor to keep alive in your breast that little spark of celestial fire called conscience.” 2. Hole up in my empty closet with a mountain of pillows and make sweet music. 3. Write my sister a postcard. She just graduated from Columbia, now she’s in the mountains of Colorado overseeing kids on archaeological digs! 4. (This one won’t be fun but it needs to get done) Take my bike to get its flat back tire fixed. Long overdue. 5. Cook more home made meals. I’ve been lazy lately, I love cooking but just haven’t had the time. And since I’m trying to gain weight, it would really be like killing two birds with one stone here.
I hate the rain, as you can probably gather from that list of activities, but what do y’all do when the clouds open up? I always end up wasting a tremendous amount of time because I can’t justify doing anything, so any suggestions you have to offer would be great!
If I do end up getting that tattoo (probably will), next week look forward to a lengthy explanation of my philosophy about them, and what I’ve got.

Howdy ya’ll. Bet you can’t guess who I am. Superman? Scout? No….I’m the sheriff! The latest group of Junk Food tees is awesome. They remind me that Halloween is coming up, which I totally love. My heart is set on the men’s sheriff dude tee. When I lived in Vegas I used to collect old sheriff badges, I gave my best antique one to my sister when I left. Maybe I should get that back…? Another little disguise I noticed is the reversible jumbo owl tote. You think that it’s just for the birds? No way, there is a whole other pattern on the inside just waiting to jump out. The cupcake beanie is the last of our disguises. It’s so cute it seriously makes me laugh out loud every time I look at it. Giddy’up ya’ll, CLICK THE PICS TO PURCH THE MERCH!

Hey peeps, the store’s really coming along. The walls are pretty much done. This weekend we’re varnishing the floor and then next week all the tables get built… Then the merch arrives by the butt loads! **KORTO POPS A SMILE ALERTZ** Yes it finally happened. And it was everything I dreamed it would be. Tonight the designers are faced with music they don’t listen to. Nina puts Kenly in her place (in the words of Marvita: ’bout damn time). Suede quotes Madonna. And, after line dancing in cowboy boots, Korto considers a career change.
Halloween came early for Project Runway this year when the designers are challenged to create a look for one another. Tim assigns designer to designer & a randomly chosen music style for inspiration. They have one day to make it work! Glamorous Feist Kenly designs a Hip Hop outfit for Avant-Garde Feist Leanne. Kenly made a high-waisted dark denim jean, a blue floral blouse (a trend for Fall) a& a shrunken jacket. It was cute, but not Hip Hop. The only thing musical about it was the jingle jangle of Leanne’s bangles. When Glamorous Feist speaks it’s kind of like that scene in Dumb & Dumber when Lloyd asks Mental if he wants to hear the most annoying sound in the world. That’s just the tip of the iceberg. I’ll say no more.
Jerell’s Pop inspiration turned Glamorous Feist into ‘Kenly Spears: The Good Years’. In the workroom Tim admires the beautiful silhouette. The judges agree she looked like a pop star. Guest Judge LL Cool J’s only complaint was that there wasn’t more skin showing. A quick drop of the purple faux fur vest remedied that problem. Korto was assigned Suede and Punk. In her first attempt at menswear, Korto made a chained up mesh top with slashes of suede, and bleach distressed metallic jeans with coordinating Chucks. Das winner is Korto! The judges loved the silhouette and the punk rock star styling. Suede loved wearing it so much Suede couldn’t contain Suede’s rock n’ roll hand gestures on the runway. Suede thinks Suede’s Rock design for Jerell is rockin’. The judges think that Jerell looks the same-ish, but not as good as usual. The detail Suede put into the skintight black pants isn’t visible from the runway (or in a close-up) so Suede is sent to pack up his space. (Now he’ll never win his model back from Leanne!) Things didn’t look good for Suede, being in the bottom 3, 3 weeks in a row. Still, it would’ve been awesome if Kenly got hers for her stank attitude. 89% of viewers agree!
Joe got das boot on my week off. Let’s take a moment to remember him.
