CJ and I are about to leave the office to go catch Slumdog Millionaire but I wanted to let you know real quick that I made a new playlist for the boombox late last week and it nearly got me FIRED! Hey everybody, guess whose birthday it is today. Our very own lovable, awesome, wonderful, bestie, Jenman! It’s her golden birthday, making it even more spectacularly special. Congratulations girl! Now we have this tradition in Provo where we go around in a circle and take turns telling a memory about the birthday honoree. I’ll go first. The way I met Jen was that we were both dating the same guy at the same time. Yikes! Was there drama when we met? No way, it was love at first sight. We spent the whole summer together! I’ve been pretty stressed lately. It’s been a culmination of midterms, thoughts of being done at NYU in just a few months, not knowing where I’m going to school next year, lack of sleep and basically lack of having any set plans. It’s easy to get wrapped up in stress. I start worrying about one thing, which reminds me of another thing and pretty soon I’ve got a list of like a hundred things to be worrying about. I feel like I blog about stress a lot and for that I’m sorry. I’m just a stressful person! But, I’ve realized the importance of taking some time out of your day to do something for yourself. Even if you have a million things to do, it’s important to make time for yourself or else the stress just keeps building up.
Too often I get up caught up in my own problems and forget that other people are going through equally rough times. So when I feel like I need a little dose of reality to get me going again I watch this video.
The guy’s name is Matt Harding and I think his story is pretty incredible. He was this guy who got his dream job and after a while decided he was missing out on that “something more”. So he quit his job and used all his money to travel with his friend. His friend decided Matt should do this funny dance in all the different places they went an record it. Long story short, some people at Stride Gum found the videos and offered to pay for Matt to travel around the world to 39 countries and do his dance [this was back in 2006]. The video hit YouTube everyone loved it, but Matt thought there was still something more. So he went back to Stride and said he’d like to make another video but with a new twist. So in 2008 Matt traveled the world again and made the video you just saw. You can check out Matt’s 2006 video and his outtakes on his YouTube channel here. Pretty incredible huh!?

If you haven’t heard of a “Snuggie”, you must not own a t.v. Or maybe you’re too memorized by the “Sham-Wow” guy… But The “Snuggie” is basically a backwards house coat or a blanket with arm holes and it costs like $60.00 (or $14.95 if you call now) and it always BLOWS MY MIND when I see it on t.v. This pic of Sienna Miller rockin’ a “Snuggie” like cloak just made me have flash backs of the creeptastic commercial and all I can imagine is Sienna Mills watching said commercial and thinking ‘I’ll wear that to the market, I’m Sienna Miller and I’m a fashion icon’ (but with an english accent of course).
Anyways, last night after i found this pic I had the urge (I have no idea why) to watch the “Snuggie” commercial and I stubbled on to this parody of it. I think it’s hilarious, slightly offensive and a little inappropraite, so if youre bothered by any of that… skip it. But I thought I’d share it with you. I think I definitely want one, perhaps for my birthday and only to torture Pete…

How’s your day going? I’m doing good. As I’ve mentioned before, I always feel a little sluggish this time of year so I’m trying out one of those light therapy lamps on my desk and, wow, it’s so BRIGHT. I might need to grab myself a pair of picnic sunglasses while I work… Am curious, has anyone tried these? I’ll try anything to help get through the wintertime! Lots of awesome happy new things to enjoy, thankfully, and some great classics in today’s edition of the A-Z OF CUTENESS, letters G-P. I woke up this morning FURIOUS from the night before. I netflix-ed this awful, horrible, pretentious movie called ‘Happiness’ after being told, since I was 18, that I would love it. Love it, I did not. Anyway… I was literally scowling from the moment I woke up. And on my way to work I got an call from my brother that cheered me up instantly. Best news I’ve heard all week: Michael Cera is officially confirmed for the Arrested Development Movie! If you haven’t heard, he was the only hold out, of the ensemble cast, and fans were pretty upset. Rumors had it, that he was too big headed now from his Juno fame, even though Arrested was the show that broke him into the mainstream. I am so happy he came around. He was one of my favorite parts of that show. Did you know, of the entire cast, he, and David Cross were the only actors allowed to Improvise, and he was only 18 at the time! I really hope you all have had the privilege of experiencing Arrested Development. It is universally revered as one of the funniest shows in Television History. But if ‘Happiness’ taught me anything, recommendations don’t guarantee anything, so all I’ll say is watch a few episodes. If you love it, I’ll see you on opening night to watch George Michael and Maeby reunite on the big screen. Les Cousins Dangeroux indeed!

Whoa! I know the rumers have been pretty heavy lately, I mean, even I blogged it. The pic on the left is from New York magazine almost exactly one year ago and the pic on the right is from a few weeks ago. Linds was shot for some artsy fartsy photographer looking painfuly thin. I’m sorry, but that girl has got to be coked out! I watched a video of her interviewed at an after party for the Oscars and she was all over the place. (Watch here) She was jittery, avoided eye contact and was just really weird! It was so obv! What’s the verdict? Is she just stressed or is she snorting?

Oh I’m so super crazy excited! Andy Richter is BACK in the position he was born for; supporting Conan! Richter will be the announcer of the new Tonight Show on NBC with funny man Conan O’Brien starting on June 1st! It’s true, I do really miss Conan being in New York, but I am so excited about this little change. Or is it an un-change? Richter previously served as a sidekick to O’Brien on “Late Night” between 1993 and 2000. According to a release sent out by NBC, Richter’s new role will not be as a sidekick, but he will be involved in live and prerecorded comedy bits. “Andy is one of the funniest people I know, and we’ve maintained a close friendship since he left ‘Late Night,’” O’Brien said. “We have a proven chemistry that will be an incredible asset to ‘The Tonight Show.’” Oh heck yeah! Does this mean he’s gonna be the new Ed Mcmahon? Well, they have proven their true love!

I just heard that teen cutie Dev Patel has signed on for M. Night Shyamalan’s new project, Last Airbender and the gorge Freida Pinto is Woody Allen’s newest muse. Couldn’t happen to a cuter bunch of peeps!

WOWOWOWOW. We just got hit with a ton of new items, I can hardly keep my head on straight. There are so many cute dresses, I can’t decide which to choose! I’m picturing a clubhouse in the summertime, and each girl is wearing one of the dresses. They are all seated around a table drinking lemonade. Cute right? I think I want to be wearing the technicolor stripe sundress. Which one would you wear? I think each girl would also have the St. Constance charm bracelet. It’s such a cute accessory, and who doesn’t love a little Gossip Girl inspired flair to adorn their wrist? I sure do.
