TEEVZ: PROJECT RUNWAY - “THE ART OF DESIGN” posted by
**I’M VERY SPIRITUAL PERSON (NOT HERE TO SERVE YOU!!!) ALERTZ** YES, the Final Challenge of tragic Project Runway Season 6: Marked by talented designers not Das Winning or being U Out’d before their time. Its gotten to everyone… Have we EV-ER seen Tim guffaw in someone’s face like he did to Irina (ha!) in the workroom? Doncha’ wish Tim would appear whenever you needed help? Coulda reached the last stage of Project Runway Season Six Grief - Stage 5: Acceptance, faster. Let’s get this over with, eeee!!!

As the Season wound down it became obvious to anybody who has peeked at the Project Runway Fashion Week pictures that Althea, Carol Hannah and Irina are the final three. I waited till I lost all interest in this Season (Stage 4: Depression) to take a look. When Tim met the designers at the Getty Center and encouraged them to take design inspiration from not only the art inside, but the architecture, smog and arson-tinged landscape I worried some might actually be inspired by the latter. Like, Althea. She fell for the curvy architecture of the Getty. Ambitious for the time allotted. She chose a difficult fabric that almost cost her a trip to Fashion Week…yeah right. Christopher (permanently in Stage 3: Bargaining) was also inspired by the out of doors - a rock fountain and the algae that thrives in it. He too picked a difficult fabric for his skirt. The judges - Nina, Cynthia Rowley and Cindy Crawford loved the pretty top of Christopher’s dress but overall ‘not ready-ness’ denied him entry to Fashion Week. I liked his top better the first time I saw it, in the Film Genre Challenge. Gordana’s das booted. Nina says she doesn’t know who Gordana is, where Michael Kors is or who Auf’d Ramon. Cindy loved Gordana’s dress. All the judges did. Nina’s comment doesn’t really resonate with me. Gordana has a recognizable aesthetic. Her Cathedral dress was supes dreamy!

Irina changed it up from her usual “Real Housewives of the Former Georgian Soviet Socialist Republic” look with a dress that was airy, and beautifully held together by a fragile back. Altho it had another tied-not-belted belt (…sigh) and her styling was busted - a rarity for her - she’s still going to Fashion Week. So is j’adorable innately talented Carol Hannah - yay!!!. That eighteenth century French piece Carol Hannah was subtly inspired by was OOC. If Epperson was still here, he could have told Carol Hannah all about it cuz he was there when it was built. Her perf dress was fantastically fit…she always chooses the right fabrics!
So who was your favorite designer this week? What stage of Project Runway Season Six Grief are you at? 1. Denial. 2. Anger. 3. Bargaining. 4. Depression 5. Acceptance.
