happy st. pat-schlepp’s day! posted by

Okay, NYC was bringin’ Winter back and we had the joy of moving in its aftermath. So, on yee old St. Patrick’s day, Keith, Jen, Neal and I moved about 2/3 of our business from our old space on N 10th in the BillBurg to our new diggs in Greenpoint. We rented a giant Ryder truck that’s bigger that my parents house and we had to rock it back and forth to free it from the snow drift it spent the night in. We mostly moved our Shipping Department today: tables, supplies, files and then these really big 12 ft. tall shelves that house most of our big home products. The shelves were a scary nightmare, we thought we were gonna die about a million times taking them down. They’re just so cumbersome and weirdo! But we survived and got the truck all packed up and ready to go.
When we arrived with the truckload at our new space, we first had to dig the snow out of the driveway. Ice and snow… Yay! Then the sun came out and melted a ton of it leaving what felt like a Lake Eire sized puddle at the back of the truck… Which we all stepped in for about 2 hours while unloading. We did actually finished way ahead of schedule but it wasn’t easy mind you, we worked our azzez off and we’re not even done. This week we have to get all the products packed & moved, finish moving all the shelves and then transport and set up all the phones and computes. YUCK! Oh, we’re exhausted. When Keith and I got home, we immediately changed our water-logged shoes and then went to chug green beer! Chug-a-lug Patty!
