Gwen Stefani, is looking FRIECE on the cover of Instyle Magazine wearing a lovely Stella McCartney dress. Gwen seems to be in the prime of her life at 40 years old keeping strong in the music business and her clothing line. However, Gwen’s clothing line is a back-up plan for her musical career:
“I wanted so badly to have a backup plan for
when I’m not performing anymore. Let’s be realistic: it’s not going to
be like this forever. So I wanted to continue having something
creative to do. I don’t have a strong sense of self-worth unless I’m
doing something. I was a different person before I started to write.
When I realized I could be a songwriter and that people would listen—
that was when I started feeling good in my life.”
Well I couldn’t think of any better and more successful plan B than that!

It’s been a while since She & Him released their first album, Volume 1. But now the wait is over and Zooey Deschanel and M.Ward have finally released Volume 2! I was little skeptical about this album at first, but after watching this A-DOOR-BELL video I couldn’t help wanting more!
“You haven’t had a carb since middle school!” ALERTZ! While the real NYC experienced quite a bit of rain this past weekend, it seems like our friends on the Upper East Side have been served up a torrential downpour of drama. Gossip Girl has been heating up lately! I was worried it would be hard to get back into the show, after SUCH a long break- but again, I was not disappointed this week. If you missed the episode and are feeling on the verge of a Blair-sized mental break down, fear not! As always, I’m here to cut to the chase (and I don’t mean Crawford) and tell you what’s up.
Meet Emma! She and her parents Geoff and Katheryne came down to NYC all the way from Toronto, and made a special trip out to Brooklyn just to visit Store Cute! Emma picked up the Sweet Sunday dress and the rose-print Sally dress, and it could be that I’m just biased (those are two of my fave dresses) but she looked super adorable in them!
It was great meeting you guys, and I hope that you had fun walking across the Brooklyn Bridge! Enjoy the rest of your trip!! We love meeting everyone who comes in to the store so come on by and introduce yourself…you might even find your fave new spring outfit!
Talk about daring! Melanie Brown shows some leg, some shoulder, a little cleavage and a lot of scalp! The former Spice Girl walked the red carpet at the Matt Goss show in Vegas with a brand new, edgy style. Leona Lewis and Mel were holding hands and getting their pics taken, both looking smashing! Robin Antin and Natasha Bedingfield joined them for the papz fest. Leona, Mel and Natasha even made a stage appearance for the Caesar’s Palace show! What an event… Is it bad that I don’t know who Matt Goss is? Can you guys fill me in? I feel totally outta the loop!
I love it when I’m just idly watching something and, all of a sudden, I spot a Fred Flare product! Sometimes it’s a no-brainer (you’ll never guess which movie I saw the Twilight jacket in…oh wait, maybe you will), but other times they sneak in and surprise me, like when Tina on Glee was totally wearing a Flight of Fancy necklace (sorry peeps, that one’s all sold out). Now, we all know the ice cream lamp.
I first noticed it in the background, but before I knew it the ice cream lamp was the hero of the day! So now I know that not only is that a hilarious episode of Wizards, but also: if a frozen yogurt machine ever goes haywire, reach for the ice cream lamp! Have you ever seen any FF prodz pop up in unexpected places?
Happy B-Day to one of my fave celebuspawns! Susan Sarandon’s adorable daughter Eva Amurri’s 25th birthday was this weekend and boy-oh-boy, did she get DOWN! She looks like such a total babe! Which, I guess, was bound to happen considering her mom’s a hottie, right? The Sarandon clan has been ordering from us for a while and WE LOVE THEM ALL! I totally wish we coulda partied with them at 1 Oak! And I must say, the strapless dress with a peek-a-boo camisole is totally amazing! HAPPY BDAY EVA!
Personally I always adored what my grandma wore. Blogger Ari Seth Cohen seems to think the same thing about seniors’ style. Cohen, in a Sartorialist style of blogging, takes pictures of elderly people with an impeccable sense of classic style. This week in Santa Monica, California all the celebs were out to help the Make a Wish Foundation. By far the cutest couple of them all to make an appreance was Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer. This on screen and off screen couple have been all over town showing nothing but love. We can’t wait for Season 3 of True Blood, which starts 6/13! P.S.- Doesn’t Anna look the cutest in her red risky biz sunglasses!?!
