Lately, I’ve had nothing but the holiday season on my mind. Last week I thought to myself, I really need to live in the now and enjoy fall before it’s too late. My NY bestie, Jen and I decided to take a babe’s trip upstate to Beacon and visit the museum Dia Art Foundation. It is this amazing contemporary museum with beautiful minimalist installations that filled up the rooms in way I can’t describe. Jen and I felt like we were at Disneyland taking pictures everywhere, until we got in trouble by an usher.

After the museum we headed to the downtown area that had cute little shops and diners. We had a huge lunch, then headed back for an afternoon of sweets at the most adorable coffee shop. On the train back, it was amazing to see the transition from country to city.

We didn’t want the fun to end so the next day we headed to Prospect Park. We rode bikes, had mini photoshoots, played in leaves, ate pizza, chatted about life, and watched the ducks in the pond.

This weekend was truly one of the best weekends I’ve had this year so far thanks to beautiful weather, spending time with my babe, and seeing some amazing art. There was never a dull moment, now I feel refreshed, and the holiday season seems like small potatoes.
